Bocas del Toro is a paradise for adventure seekers where anything is possible. There are plenty of things to do on Isla Solarte right from our overwater bungalows, or you can jump on a water taxi and be at any of the other main Bocas islands in under 5 minutes.
Isla Solarte is known for its lush tropical rainforest that is filled with ancient trees, tropical birds, and strawberry poison dart frogs. The island is surrounded by calm, clear water and some of the most vibrant coral reefs in the archipelago.
Our years of experience guiding everyone from High School Service Groups to International VIP’s has given us a knowledge of the islands that not many people have. We offer this knowledge to our guests so they can have the best possible stay in Bocas.

KAYAKING &
PADDLE BOARDING
Explore the turquoise waters around Isla Solarte on one of our premium quality, double seat, ocean kayaks.
Or, you can test your balance on one of our 9′ soft top, stand up paddle boards.
Our central location within the main islands of the Archipelago put many incredible sights within reach!
HIKING
Isla Solarte is one of the best islands for hiking through the rainforest. There are miles of jungle trails to be explored and incredible viewpoints to be discovered.
Watch where you step because the trails are covered in strawberry poison dart frogs!
SNORKELING
Isla Solarte is also one of the best islands for snorkeling! Local sea currents in front of our Bungalows create some of the clearest water in the Archipelago.
You can snorkel the coral garden just meters away from your bungalow or take one of our kayaks and go anywhere you desire.
There’s a reason that the scuba dive boats are anchored in front of our bungalows everyday and we can’t wait for you to see why!

MASSAGE

SURF WORLD CLASS WAVES
Bocas del Toro, above everything else, is famous for its world class surf. The best waves in Bocas are all within a 20 minute boat ride from our Overwater Bungalows. These include Bluff Beach, Dumpers, Paunch, Tiger Tails, Carenero Point, Silverbacks, and Wizard Beach.
Carenero Point, the left hand point break that put Bocas del Toro on the map, is just 5 minutes away!

LEARN TO SURF
Bocas del Toro is a great destination for those who are beginner surfers or are just learning to surf. Warm water, warm air, beautiful tropical landscapes and a variety of different beginner breaks makes Bocas del Toro’s surf accessible to all ages and skill levels.
The most popular spots in Bocas del Toro for beginners are Black Rock, Old Mans, Bibi’s Break, and Carenero Point (when it is small). These spots are all just 5 minutes away from our overwater bungalows.

GO SCUBA DIVING & FREEDIVING
Bocas del Toro’s second favorite water sport is Scuba Diving! Bocas del Toro is sometimes called, “The Galapagos of the Caribbean,” for its unique biodiversity both on land and in the sea.
Not only does Bocas del Toro have 95% of the world’s soft coral species, there’s also an abundance of tropical fish, 4 different sea turtle species, a uniquely evolved bottle nose dolphin species, sharks, 3 sunken boats, caves, sea mounts, and deep walls covered in corals!

ISLAND HOPPING
There’s over 20 different beaches within a 45 minute boat ride from our Overwater Bungalows. Our years of experience hopping around these beaches has rewarded us with a knowledge of the Bocas archipelago that not many people have. We will advise you on which beaches and islands will be best to visit depending on your wishes, the sea conditions and the weather, to make sure you get the best possible experience!
JUNGLE HIKING
Fans of hiking will love the diverse tropical landscapes of Bocas del Toro. Each of the main Bocas Islands offers a stunning hike that can last from an hour up to the entire day.
Our favorite hike takes place over 9km and traverses a tropical fruits farm, dense jungle, rolling hills, cow pastures, and three of the most beautiful beaches in Bocas. Spot Sloths, Monkeys, tropical birds and strawberry poison dart frogs, and end the day with happy hour on the beach!
SPORT FISHING
Who doesn’t want to catch Tuna, Wahoo, or Mahi-Mahi on their Caribbean Vacation? We are dialed in with the best fisherman in Bocas del Toro and can set you up with a captain that suits your style and budget!
There is inshore fishing through the mangroves and bays of the Bocas Archipelago and Deep Sea Fishing miles off the coast. Or you can try your luck hand-lining from a kayak, the Bocas way!
ATV RENTALS
If you are looking to test your limits in the Panamanian rainforest then renting an ATV from our friends at Flying Pirates is the way to do it! They offer one of the most beautiful and extreme trails that covers coral rock beaches, dense jungle, plenty of mud and amazing viewpoints. This is a great opportunity to see howler monkeys and you also get to pass by the swimming holes at La Piscina and The Blue Holes.
HORSEBACK RIDING
There are two great opportunities for horseback riding in Bocas del Toro. You can ride horses along the beach and through the jungle trails past Bluff Beach; or adventure deep into the rainforest covered hills of Isla San Cristobal.
Both experiences will give you an amazing opportunity to see the wildlife of Bocas del Toro!
EXPLORE ISLA COLON ON A BICYCLE
Our favorite way to explore the main island of Isla Colon is by bicycle! Take your time and soak in all the amazing sights along the Caribbean coast of Isla Colon as you make your way out to Bluff Beach. Stop for photos or a seaside smoothie and enjoy a slow, meandering cruise along one of the most beautiful coastlines in Bocas!
