Our stay at the overwater bungalows in Panama was truly an unforgettable experience! If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and unique getaway, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Waking up surrounded by the water, enjoying the breathtaking views, and soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings made our stay so special. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and appreciate the beauty of nature. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the experience is something everyone should have at least once. We created wonderful memories here and would gladly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a special tropical escape. Thank you for hosting us and giving us such a memorable experience. Sol Bungalows, a hidden gem in Bocas!!!
An Absolutely Amazing Stay at Sol Bungalows! We spent a week at Sol Bungalows celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, we loved every minute of our stay. They even decorated our bed for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful and special touch! Drew, the owner, and Kiki, the manager, truly go above and beyond to make sure their guests have an unforgettable experience. They were incredible with helping arrange excursions, water taxis, and providing recommendations for restaurants and places to visit based on what we were looking for. Their hospitality and attention to detail really set this place apart. The food was phenomenal! Breakfast and dinner featured fresh, farm-to-table ingredients, and every meal was something to look forward to. They also offer sack lunches for guests heading out for the day, although we didn't get a chance to try one. We also loved having access to the paddleboards and kayaks. We took them out to Hospital Point, where we enjoyed snorkeling and spending time at the beach. It was such a great way to explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you're looking for a relaxing, beautiful place to stay with amazing food and people who genuinely care about making your vacation special, Sol Bungalows is the place! We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate 25 years married. We absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend Sol Bungalows to anyone visiting Bocas del Toro. Amazing spot!

Bocas starts at Sol Bingalows
We went for our honeymoon and can literally say that we had the best time! I would choose them over and over again. Our bungalow was all decked out for our honeymoon when we arrived and we were so surprised! Drew and Kiki had recommendations for everything we wanted to do and even set it up for us if we only had a little idea! They were so accommodating! And the food!! We can’t say enough! A delicious breakfast every day and a delicious dinner (if you so choose) every night! They were amazing! And if they aren’t on property, they can answer any question or get you where you need to go. Beautiful bungalows and amazing staff
Drew, Kiki, and staff were amazing! They helped us navigate to and from the airport to bungalows and around the islands. They set up any trips, excursions, massages we wanted. 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
My wife, Andrea, and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this year. One of my dreams has been to take her to an overwater bungalow. The only ones I knew about were in places like Bora Bora - beautiful but so far beyond our price range. Rather than give up on the idea, I began searching for “cheap” overwater bungalows. That search led me to Sol Bungalows on Isla Solarte in Bocas Del Toro. What we found was a level of affordability that did not compromise excellence in any way. They aren’t trying to provide everything every resort tries to offer. They are really, really great at what they do offer! 1 They have a clear vision of what an amazing Caribbean experience should look like. They have thought through every detail and they know how to help each individual guest maximize their time and stay. 2 They are quick and intentional to respond to every question or need. They provide some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen in any industry. They make themselves available in every reasonable way without ever making the guests feel like a burden. 3 The quality of the Bungalow, the food, the experience is second to none. Their affordability does not compromise their excellence. Drew thank you for your vision and for your work to make this kind of experience accessible. Kiki, thank you for being tenacious in a friendly way. You were phenomenal at helping arrange, answering questions, providing available services, and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Estefono, you are a wonderful chef! The meals were a delight every time. Thank you for working so hard to make dining so memorable. To the cleaning staff, you do a thorough job without ever being invasive. The decorations in our room commemorating our 25th were small but sooo meaningful! Thank you! This was one of the best trips we’ve been on and one of the best stays we’ve ever experienced. The Sol Bungalow staff made us feel welcomed and valued throughout the stay. If you ever want to stay in an overwater bungalow, or want to go enjoy some of the best the Caribbean has to offer, or just want to get away, I highly recommend Sol Bungalows. The hosts are welcoming and available. They are interested in what you want to do and can book certain activities for you or advise you on restaurants in particular. The food offered is mostly local and the approach regarding the accommodation is environmentally friendly. Must stay when when in Bocas!
If you visit Bocas del Toro, this is the place to stay! Great location very close to the town but also removed enough to have a relaxing environment. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with great amenities. From your room you can swim off the doc, relax on the hammock, or sunbathe in the lounge chairs. The meals are incredible! Great cuisine for breakfast and dinner with always something unique to offer in quaint environment. The staff is very gracious and knowledgeable. We worked with Kiki on our trip where she checked in with us every morning and evening to see how she could assist with our plans or provide recommendations for the day. If you need anything, she is one WhatsApp message away! Follow the advice not book activities before arriving as the staff here has the best contacts to plan all tours and transportation you are looking for. We cannot stress enough how great this was!
